1/4-inch (6.35mm) 316 stainless steel plate contains molybdenum, delivering excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It offers significantly higher resistance to chloride ions and acidic/alkaline media than 304 grade, making it ideal for marine and chemical environments.
